Description
on behalf of others
Part of the “when women were dragons” collection, an exploration of feminine rage, inspired by Kelly Barnhill’s book When Women Were Dragons.
“Rage is not often an emotion I express openly. I tend to err more towards grief, disappointment, sadness. But feminine rage to me manifests as outrage on behalf of others. On behalf of women. On behalf of the marginalized. On behalf of a more equitable world we could be living in if the powers that be cared to help create it. For me this is something deep, internal. It can sometimes look like inaction, or a freeze response. My rage is quiet. But it is strong.”
