Description
what’s it like being really attractive and trying to sell art?
Part of the “when women were dragons” collection, an exploration of feminine rage, inspired by Kelly Barnhill’s book When Women Were Dragons.
“Feminine rage is all the emotions I was told were ‘negative.’ It’s the emotions I was punished or dismissed for showing. It’s hiding them all so that I’m taken more seriously, so I’m not a ‘hysterical woman.’ It’s needing to scream because ‘why isn’t anyone else paying attention??’ It’s all the pain kept bottled up, and it’s the grief and sadness I didn’t know how to name.”
