The first layer is a self-portrait I painted 10 years ago, and the only time I painted myself until now. The top layers are a self-portrait of myself now, and a more complete representation of who I am as a person. This piece really encapsulates my wish for this exhibition, to be a representation of myself, then and now, and show you “the road so far.”
